The service was great, my sister in law forgot her camera and they found it and sent it to the hotel we were staying at which was one hour away. The beds were confortable and we got free snacks and drinks, very nice

Easy check in and the shared cabin space whilst small is as expected. The bed was super comfy and a nice warm doona. Enough storage to put backpack under bed. Personal light and electric socket. A bottle of water and toobrush/toothpaste, ear plugs provided. Banana, rice cake and juice welcome. Toilet clean. I slept really well with ear plugs and eyemask. A great experience !!
Save journey to sapa
Simple cabin with snack and drink, smooth ride because is slow train, one transfer worth to try.
IF ONLY
Had a two-berth sleeper cabin Hanoi to Sapa. Well-appointed cabin and common facilities that were kept clean throughout. Good reception and staff. But a sleeper train is just that. Apart from the brief excitement of Train Street, it's the sleep that counts. Unfortunately, that's not easy with the irregular loud clanking (I'm guessing it's the worn coach couplings). And the final insult - having to pay a meagre sum for the morning beverage seems simply small-minded.

Clean and comfortable
We booked the VIP cabin for two persons and were very satisfied. It was clean, snacks and drinks were provided, WiFi worked perfectly and service was good. Also the air condition was adaptable so that you could choose by yourself if you wanted it cold or not that cold. Overall, the trip was very comfortable - starting with the lounge in Lao Cai and ending in Hanoi. Thank you for this experience!
